But we wondered: how could we figure out what are the cocktails you‘re most interested in? Home cocktail culture has never been more popular, and is expected to continue to grow.
This list shows the top 50 popular cocktails that are trending on Google this year. These are the drinks you’re most interested in making at home, and some of them surprised us! The most popular cocktail according to internet searches? The Old Fashioned, which happens to be one of the oldest cocktails of them all! The recipe dates back to the early 1800’s, before the words classic and cocktail were even said next to each other. Here are a few tricks to making the best pristine version of this cocktail that lets the whiskey shine.

Here are the most popular cocktails to make at home! These top drinks are the most searched for on the internet in 2024.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ ounces vodka
- 1 ounce coffee liqueur (Kahlua, Tia Maria, or other)
- 1 ounce room temperature espresso (or strong coffee or cold brew concentrate)
- ½ ounce simple syrup*
- 3 coffee beans, to garnish
Instructions
- Make the espresso or strong coffee. Place it in the freezer until room temperature.
- Add the vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso, and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker and fill it with ice. Shake vigorously until cold.
- Strain into cocktail glass. Garnish with coffee beans.
Notes
*Simple syrup rounds out the flavors and makes for a balanced, sweet drink. For a less sweet spin, you can use ¼ oz or make an Espresso Martini without simple syrup entirely.
To convert to tablespoons, 1 ounce = 2 tablespoons.
